Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-09-20
Marquee ("the app," "we") is developed and published by Zima Logistics LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles your information.
Information We Collect
There is no account or sign-up. We do not collect personal information (name, email address, phone number), account or identity linkage, location, or advertising identifiers — no IDFA and no cross-app tracking — and the app uses no third-party advertising SDKs.
We do collect anonymous, aggregated usage diagnostics — which features are opened and when errors occur — so we can prioritize fixes and improvements:
- Diagnostics are tied to a random per-install identifier that resets if you delete and reinstall the app. It is never linked to your identity.
- Diagnostics are never used for advertising and are never shared with third parties or data brokers.
- Your library, watch history, and backups are never included in diagnostics.
- Diagnostics are on by default, for all users everywhere. You can opt out at any time in the app's Settings.
Data Stored on Your Device
The shows and movies you track, your watchlist, custom lists, ratings, watch history, episode progress, and app preferences (theme, language, notification settings) are stored on your device. This data is not accessible to us or to any third party, except as described below.
Your Library & Backups
If backup is enabled, your library (shows, movies, lists, ratings, watch history) is backed up to your own iCloud Drive (iOS) or Google Account (Android, via Android Auto Backup) so it can restore if you reinstall the app or switch devices. That backup lives in your personal cloud account, not on our servers — Zima Logistics has no access to your iCloud Drive or Google account. Apple's handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and Google's by Google's Privacy Policy.
Show & Movie Data (TMDB)
Show and movie information (titles, air dates, descriptions, episode guides, where-to-watch availability) and artwork (posters, backdrops, and similar images) come from TMDB (The Movie Database), fetched through our own caching proxy — none of this traffic goes to TMDB's servers directly. The app ships with no TMDB key, and you never enter one.
Catalog data and artwork (non-personal show and movie details and images) may be cached on our servers to speed up the app for all users. Your searches and your personal viewing activity are not stored on our servers. Streaming availability is provided by JustWatch via TMDB. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
Air-Date Reminders
If you enable reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device for upcoming air dates. These reminders are processed entirely on your device and are not sent to us.
Purchases
Marquee is currently free, with everything unlocked and no purchases. If that changes in the future, any purchase would be processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) — we would not see, store, or process your payment information.
Children's Privacy
Marquee does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The anonymous diagnostics described above contain no personal data.
Third-Party Services
The app does not integrate any third-party SDKs that collect user data. The third-party systems involved are TMDB/JustWatch (show and movie data, described above), Apple (App Store, StoreKit, iCloud Drive) and Google (Google Play, Android Auto Backup), each governed by their own policies.
Data Deletion
Your on-device library can be deleted by deleting the app. iCloud data can be removed in Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage; Android backups can be removed in your Google account's backup settings. Because the diagnostics identifier is random and not linked to you, there is no personal data to delete from our analytics store.
This Website (zima-logistics.com/apps/marquee/)
This marketing page — separate from the app — uses Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate traffic (page views, referrers, which links are clicked). Google Analytics sets cookies per Google's privacy policy. You can opt out using Google's opt-out browser add-on. The app's own diagnostics are separate from and unrelated to GA4.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
