ASVAB: Military Study Guide is developed and published by Zima Logistics LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles your information. The short version: we collect no personal information. There are no accounts, no tracking, and no advertising. We do collect anonymous, aggregated usage diagnostics — see below.

Information We Collect

We collect no personal information whatsoever. Specifically:

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any contact information.
We do not create or require user accounts.
We do not collect device identifiers, advertising IDs, or IP addresses.
We do not use any third-party advertising, tracking, or crash-reporting SDKs.
We do not collect crash reports automatically (iOS may separately offer to share crash reports with Apple — this is governed by Apple's privacy policy, not ours).

How Your Data Is Stored

All app data — your study progress, SRS intervals, accuracy history, bookmarks, wrong answer bank, streak, and purchase status — is stored locally on your device.

If you have iCloud Drive enabled, the app uses Apple's CloudKit / iCloud Drive APIs to sync your progress to your personal iCloud account. This data is stored in your iCloud Drive, not on our servers. Zima Logistics LLC has no access to your iCloud data. Apple's handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

In-App Purchases

The app offers a one-time in-app purchase ($4.99) to unlock all 10 subtests. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not see, store, or process your payment information. Apple's handling of purchase transactions is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Anonymous Usage Diagnostics

The app collects anonymous, aggregated usage diagnostics (no personal data, no tracking) so we can prioritize fixes and improvements. Specifically:

The device identifier used is a random per-install value — not your Apple ID, IDFA, or any other persistent identifier. It resets when you reinstall the app and is never linked to your identity.
Diagnostics are never used for advertising and are never shared with third parties.
Diagnostics do not include your study data, answers, or any content you interact with.
If your App Store account is in the EU, EEA, or UK, diagnostics are off by default and only collected if you opt in. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy.

Network Access

The app is 100% offline for its core functionality. It makes no outbound network requests for content or authentication. The only network uses are: (1) anonymous diagnostics as described above, and (2) Apple's StoreKit framework contacting Apple's servers to process or verify an in-app purchase — handled by iOS/Apple, not our code.

Children's Privacy

The app does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. The app is designed to be safe for all ages.

Third-Party Services

The app does not integrate any third-party services, SDKs, or frameworks that collect user data. The only third-party system involved is Apple (App Store, StoreKit, iCloud Drive), which is governed by Apple's own policies.

Data Deletion

Because we store no data on our servers, there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf. To delete all app data:

Local data: Delete the app from your device. All local data is removed by iOS.
iCloud data: Go to Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → find "ASVAB Study Guide" and delete its data.

This Website (asvab.zima-logistics.com)

This marketing website — separate from the app — uses Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate traffic: page views, referral sources, and which links are clicked (such as the App Store button). This helps us understand which content is most useful. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes data per Google's privacy policy. The data is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally. This applies only to the website; the ASVAB app itself still collects nothing and makes no network calls. You can opt out using Google's opt-out browser add-on or any content blocker.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes materially, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and, where required by law, provide notice. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
